Like a fluorescent light neon signs consist of a bulb and a ballast. If one of your bulbs is weak my transformer will last 1 week tops. On a fluorescent light it is easy to see when the bulb is out because it has blackened ends. On a neon sign you must MUST take it to a local sign shop so they can do a sparking coil test on your neon to see if any of the tubes need to be remade<br>.
